We focus on ministry to the most poor, oppressed, homeless, hopeless, addicted and outcast.
We minister to the sheep lost in the deepest darkness.
Jesus says in Luke 15: "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home... I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

We focus on opportunities of church without walls.
Rarely do the poorest marginalized populations have access to the Gospel through mainstream church community structures. We work to release the circumstancial confines of poverty, homelessness, addiction, and mental illness to bring the healing Hope and Light of Jesus Christ to the marginalized, poorest of the poor. We operate outside conventional church norms in order to reach the fringe.

We advocate inter-denomination partnerships.
Jesus is Jesus. That alone is principle to answering His call and accepting His assignments. His glory and worship is primary and utmost. Inside of that, we accept the many different ways and methods of worship, practice and ministry within mainstream Christian denominations. We operate within a variety of beliefs and practice, in alignment with scripture and Holy Spirit indwelling.

We emphasize providing a Local Mission Field.
We are blessed for God to use 1000 Hills churches as mission opportunities for local church communities. We obediently provide volunteer and service programs in which church communities can participate in for congregation development, discipleship and mission work.

We focus on partnership through the local church.
Our community's churches are God's provision for completing His work. 1000 Hills delights in the commissions God orchestrates with partner churches; we enter into God-ordained partnerships and cooperations with many local churches and community ministries. We do not rely on, accept, or operate with any government or municipal agency support, instead relying on Christ's Church of Believers to enable God's work to be done in 1000 Hills Ministry.

We prioritize Jesus' call to make disciples -- and believe He called all Christians.
From the centuries-ago night before His death, to present day right where you are sitting -- Jesus gave a commissioning to all believers to go and make disciples. This commission (The Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20) is sometimes taken as instruction for those with "special calling" and that we must wait to hear "our call" to know our Kingdom assignment. But Jesus does not call out specifics on who, what type of person, or make any conditions on who He's calling because He called us all. The mandate is there -- made centuries ago-- and we are not to wait for any further instruction. Jesus gave us all the commissioning in that one Command. 1000 Hills' obedience to The Call is priority in our ministry and in our lives. God is using 1000 Hills to enable others to participate in task with us.

We believe Jesus is the example for all living and service.
Jesus told His disciples in John 13:15-17, "I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. How true it is that a servant is not greater than the master. Nor are messengers more important than the one who sends them. You know these things, Now go DO them! That is the path to blessings.” We fervently believe God called us to this ministry for many many reasons, but essentially we believe He called us to learn more fully how to just follow Him. Jesus’ life was a playbook of the How-To’s for loving all, serving all and bringing new hope, all in His Heavenly Father’s name. Jesus lived everyday as an example of everything we need to do to get His job done. If we know Jesus, we know how to do His work. That’s our challenge. This is our charge.
